Your next level may not require a new credential, website, or identity.
There is a familiar moment many solopreneurs, coaches, and purpose-driven leaders know well.
You can feel yourself standing at the edge of your next level. You know there is more you are READY to offer, more people you are here to serve, and a bigger version of your work trying to emerge.
And then the mind begins its negotiation.
But most of the time, the missing piece is not what you think you need.
The missing piece may be your willingness to be seen.
You may already be more ready than you think
Of course, preparation matters. Training, skill, integrity matters.
But preparation can become a hiding place: sometimes we tell ourselves we are “getting ready” when we are actually delaying the moment when we allow people to see who we are, what we know, and how we can help.
That shift can feel vulnerable because being seen means allowing people to respond to the real you, not a perfectly polished version of you.
Visibility is not only for entrepreneurs
This idea also applies far beyond coaching or solopreneurship.
I see it in leaders too.
A leader may be holding back from speaking clearly, making decisions, or stepping into the role they truly want to embody because they believe leadership requires perfection. They feel that if they are asked to lead, they must already have every answer, every skill, and every word exactly right.
But people do not need leaders who never stumble.
They need leaders who are honest, steady, willing to learn, and willing to show up.
Whether you are growing a business, leading a team, or stepping into a new season of your life, the same question applies:
What if the thing holding you back is not a lack of preparation, but a reluctance to be seen?
A gentle challenge for this week
This week, notice where you may be hiding behind preparation.
Ask yourself:
- Am I waiting for one more thing before I let myself be visible?
- Is this next step truly about quality, or is it about fear?
- Where could I show up with more honesty, even if it is not perfect?
- Who might need the real version of me today?
Your next level may not be asking you to become someone entirely new.
It may simply be asking you to let more of the real you be seen.
Join me on July 14
My next in-person workshop is happening on July 14, and I would love to have you there.
We will be exploring the second half of summer as a coach or solopreneur. How do we navigate this season? How do we weave in our work, our energy, our commitments, and our lives without losing ourselves in the process?
Space is limited to 10 people.
I’d love to have you join us.
