The bold practice of being yourself

Sometimes growth is less about changing yourself and more about fully stepping into who you’ve always been.

I know you are awesome.

But, do YOU???

Welcome to week 3 of Winds of Wisdom!

I invite you to pause for a moment and simply have some fun with me here. I believe that if you’re reading this, you’re already a wise person. I’ve got wisdom, you’ve got wisdom, and sometimes we just need reminders of what we ALREADY know.

This week, the Winds of Wisdom whisper this:

You already know the work

you’re here to do.

Especially if you’re a coach, you probably already know your magic. You know the people you want to serve to the highest level. You know the truth you actually want to speak.

And yet, so many of us soften it.

We second-guess ourselves. We wait until it feels safer. We wonder if we should tone things down, make ourselves easier to accept, or become a slightly different version of who we really are before stepping fully forward.

But maybe the real shift isn’t becoming someone new… Maybe the real shift is finally choosing who you really are.

The courage to stop softening yourself

There’s a quiet kind of bravery in letting yourself be fully seen.

Not a performative bravery. Not a louder version of yourself. But an honest one.

For many entrepreneurs, coaches, and helpers, the temptation is to constantly adjust ourselves so we feel more acceptable, more polished, or more “ready.” But often, the people who truly connect with us are responding to the parts we’ve been trying to smooth over.

Your voice matters because it’s yours.

Your perspective matters because it comes from your lived experience.

And the people you’re meant to help often need your truth more than your perfection.

Practice being who you are

Most of the time, this work is not about reinventing yourself.

It’s about practicing being yourself.

Practicing saying what you really think.

Practicing showing up without over-editing your personality.

Practicing trusting that who you are is not only okay, but actually pretty great.

You do not have to become a completely different person to move forward. Sometimes the next bold step is simply allowing yourself to stop hiding.

So here’s a question to reflect on this week:

What would change if you stopped waiting to feel safer before fully being yourself?

And if you’re reading this, I’d love for you to think about one bold step you can take this week to show up more honestly, more clearly, and more fully as yourself.

Because mostly, that’s what we need to do.

Practice being who we are.
