A story about patience, freedom, and everything I’ve learned along the way

You’re not late. You’re right on time.

It’s snowing a little bit today. You might even see it if you look close enough. I love the first snow. It’s quiet. It’s peaceful. I decided to go outside to feel it on my face, and while I was standing there, something came to me, something I’ve been thinking a lot about lately.

It’s probably not a popular thing to say, but it’s the truth:

Whatever you want most in your life… it’s going to take time. And that’s okay.

If it’s truly meant for you, it’s coming. I promise you.

What I’ve learned about waiting

We live in such a fast world, right? Everybody’s moving, hustling, launching, doing. And sure, I love the energy of action – I really do. But what I’ve learned is that real change doesn’t happen in the rush.

It happens in the moments when you decide to stay the course even when it feels slow. When you keep showing up even when no one’s clapping for you yet. When you trust the process.

For me, that meant giving myself what I needed (community, guidance, leadership, systems) and a whole lot of grace. It meant learning how to stay open even when things didn’t go my way.

And that’s what I’ll be talking about on November 20th at 7 PM Eastern, when I join Cece on her podcast.

From where I was to where I am

You know, if you had met me fifteen years ago, you wouldn’t recognize me. I was in a really hard place, a toxic relationship, two little kids, trying to hold everything together while feeling like I was falling apart.

One of my kids developed major depression. The other had an autoimmune disease. And I was just… surviving.

But I kept going. I’ll say that again: I. Kept. Going.

I don’t even know how some days. I just did.

And here’s where that path led: today I own my own home by the lake. I have an amazing partner who truly sees me and builds with me, and we’re co-creating The Beacon of Light Center together.

If you look behind me right now, you’d see the spiral we built this summer. Something that felt like a dream and today is part of my reality.

It wasn’t easy. It took patience, faith, and a lot of learning. But I’m proof that you can rebuild your life into something that feels right.

What I do now

These days, I work with other coaches – especially leadership coaches – who are ready to build lives with the business that matches who they really are, not what they think they should be doing.

We create systems and rhythms that let them grow without burning out. Because that’s the thing: it’s not about doing more, it’s about doing what matters.

That’s what I love helping people do.

So here’s what I want you to know

If you’re in the middle of a hard season, please keep going. I know it might not look like it right now, but YOU ARE NOT STUCK. You’re growing.

And if your desire is real, if it’s yours, it will happen. Maybe not fast. Maybe not the way you pictured. But it will.

So keep believing. Keep showing up. Keep moving, even if it’s slow.

See you live with Cece on November 20th at 7 PM Eastern.
