A simple spring reset to clear the clutter, shift your energy, and finally move toward what you actually want this quarter
It’s the beginning of a new month. A new quarter… A new season.
And whether you pay attention to the moon, the calendar, the weather, or just that little whisper inside that says “something needs to change,” there is something powerful about a fresh start.
As I write this, we’ve just entered the second quarter of the year, and Spring is arriving. The world outside is waking up.
Maybe this is your moment to wake up a little too.
Why renewal rituals matter
There is no shortage of experts who will tell you that rituals matter. That taking time to pause, reflect, and reset creates space for new ideas, new energy, and new results.
I’ve been helping people get organized since 2009. Back then, what I knew for sure was simple:
>> We have to clear things out before brilliance can come in<<
Seventeen years later, I know even more deeply how true that is.
When our homes, schedules, businesses, and minds are full of clutter, there is no room for anything new. We keep carrying around old habits, old stories, old obligations, and old ways of thinking. It is like trying to pour fresh water into a cup that is already overflowing.
Before something new can arrive, something old usually has to go.
Clutter is not just physical
Recently I was reading a book by Ann Wilson, also known as The Wealth Chef. She talks about the energetic impact of clutter and how deeply it affects our mindset, confidence, and ability to move forward.
And she is right.
Clutter is not just the pile of papers on your desk or the random drawer full of cords and receipts that looks like a tiny electrical jungle.
Clutter can be:
- The task you keep avoiding
- The idea you keep talking yourself out of
- The commitment you no longer want
- The business habit that is no longer working
- The voice in your head saying, “I’m fine” when you know you want more
The moment you begin to clear even one of those things, something shifts.
The surprising connection between action and energy
You do not have to do anything dramatic.
You do not have to light candles, chant, or blow cinnamon into your front door.
(Although, honestly, you could. Cinnamon smells lovely.)
But the real point is this:
There is a connection between what we do physically and how we feel mentally.
When you clean your desk, throw out old notes, rearrange your office, write down your intentions, or finally cross one nagging thing off your list, your brain gets the message: something is changing.
Your energy changes.
Then your thoughts change.
Then your actions change.
And eventually, your results begin to change too.
That is not magic. That is action. Movement energy. A tiny snowball at the top of the hill, gathering speed as it rolls.
Use the season you are in
There is something about spring that invites us to begin again.
The world outside starts stretching, blooming, waking up after a long pause. And whether or not spring is your favorite season, there is something about this time of year that whispers:
You can begin again too.
I recently came back from a very hot climate, and while it was beautiful, I was SO happy to come home and be able to breathe.
I have more energy when the weather cools down a bit. I feel more like myself.
Maybe you know what that is like too.
Maybe you know the environments, routines, people, and rhythms that help you feel more energized, more creative, more focused.
This quarter, pay attention to that.
Do more of what helps you feel like YOU.
The real problem with being “fine”
Most of us do not actually need help surviving. Well, we are surviving just fine! And that is exactly the problem.
We are fine.
Fine is sneaky. Fine wears sensible shoes and keeps everything moving along. Fine pays the bills and answers the emails and checks things off the list.
But fine also keeps us circling the same mountain over and over again like a very organized little goat.
If you know there is more you want… Then THIS is the moment to stop settling for “fine.”
Ask yourself:
- What do I want more of this quarter?
- What am I tolerating that I no longer want?
- What would happen if I actually gave myself permission to go after what I really want?
Because the cost of staying exactly where you are may be much higher than you think.
Join me for Spring into Action YOUR POWER
If you have been thinking, “I really want things to change, but I cannot seem to get myself moving,” I want you to know you are not alone.
That is exactly why I created Spring into Action YOUR POWER.
On April 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Eastern, we will spend two hours looking honestly at what is working, what is not, what you truly want, and what is getting in the way.
We are going to stop circling.
We are going to stop settling for fine.
And we are going to help you step into the version of yourself and your business that is waiting just on the other side of all that clutter.
You do not need to have all the answers.
You just need to begin.
PS: RECENTLY… I was blessed to be interviewed by this amazing human….Alethea. If life feels uncertain right now, if your career has shifted or your relationships have changed, I want you to know you are not alone. I have been there too. In this conversation with Alethea Felton, I share what helped me rebuild and how you can begin again without losing yourself. Listen Now
