Using stillness to align with what you truly want
Welcome to one of my favorite months of the year.
When I look back over the last decade or so, my most treasured moments weren’t the busiest or most productive weeks. They were the quiet ones.
Why do I love quiet so much?
Because in the quiet, we can finally hear ourselves.
And what I know to be true – again and again – is that our answers already live inside us. They just need space to surface.
A different approach
So this week, even if you’re surrounded by New Year’s celebrations and full calendars, I invite you to carve out some intentional stillness.
Sit and stare out a window.
Take a slow walk in the woods.
Breathe the winter air.
Let yourself simply be.
For me, this is a sacred week.
On Monday, I’ll be attending a special vision boarding workshop with colleagues. And on Tuesday, I’ll gather with my dear friend, collaborator, and soul sister Susan for our annual retreat pilgrimage – reviewing the year behind us and gently opening the door to the year ahead. The way we inspire and reflect with one another is hard to put into words, but it’s deeply grounding and clarifying.
If you’re craving a deep, meaningful experience that’s both powerful and doable in just two hours, I invite you to join me for the vision boarding workshop on Monday the 12th of January.
This isn’t about New Year’s resolutions.
It’s for you if:
- You’re tired of setting goals you don’t follow through on
- You sense there’s something important underneath the surface that hasn’t been named yet
- You want to align your plans with what you truly desire – not what you think you should want
Seats are limited, and once they’re filled, they’re filled.
Honoring the in-between
Whether I see you at the workshop or not, I wish you a truly blessed “in-between week” – that tender space where one year hasn’t fully ended and the next hasn’t yet begun.
The video below was filmed a few weeks ago during one of the first snowfalls. It captures how winter gently puts even the most beautiful landscapes to rest. I hope you enjoy it and allow it to mirror what rest might look like for you right now.
With warmth,
Carol
